Can I bring my children?

Due to health and safety reasons, Colour Me Sophie B is a child-free zone.  As much as we adore your mini-me, the salon space is simply too small to accommodate toddlers or under 12's safely.  We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. 

Errrm but I am breast feeding! Help!!!

Your mini me's are of course welcome however we prefer to schedule you on our quieter days. We do not have the capacity for prams etc so a car seat is best practice if you are visiting with your bambino. 

Do you do mens hair ?

We do not have any short barbering/clipper experience at all but we can recommend some incredible mens hair

specialists such as matt_the_barber5 on Instagram :)



Can I book my children in for an appointment?

Your aged 12 + mini me's are more than welcome to schedule cut and styling services. We do not have a separate price structure for them, please see our service menu for a price guide. 

My daughter would like to schedule a colour is this ok?

The hair industry regulators, hair colour companies and liability insurance providers, state that we are not permitted to colour those who are under 16 years old.

How much do you charge for a consultation?

Consultation appointments are free of charge and scheduled during the last hour of our working day.  We cannot wait to meet you!

Do you do Bridal hair?

Unfortunately we do not have the capacity or big enough team to offer bridal hair however we have lots of contacts that we recommend to our salon guests.  

Is a salon consultation compulsory before booking an appointment?

At Colour Me Sophie B, we love to chat and discuss your look in full!  This ensures we schedule the correct appointment time for you.  We encourage all our new and current guests to use this service.  After all, great hair begins with great communication!


I live too far away to come for a consultation, what can I do?

Skype consultation appointments are available.  Alternatively, if you're shy and don’t fancy a video call, you can send a current selfie, an inspiration picture, and full chemical history to colourmesophieb@gmail.com or hit the social media icons at the bottom of this page.


Do I require a skin test?

New guests and guests who have not visited within the last 6 months must have a skin test at least 48 hours prior to their salon appointment.  This is not negotiable, as it is part of our salon health and safety policy and procedures.  The skin test will take place during the consultation appointment and you must complete our skin test form and sign it, electronically using our iPad.  This may feel like an inconvenience, but it will be less so than having an allergic reaction and ending up at A&E!  Safety first my beauties, I prefer my guests healthy!


I don’t fancy a blow dry do I have to leave wet?

Guests have the choice to opt for either a Posh Blast with minimal styling, treat & run or the full Monty with a jazz hands blow out!


Can I book my appointment online?

Due to the variations in services, it is impossible to offer online booking for colour services.  To ensure a consistent level of service, the correct amount of time booked for each visit is vital.  We encourage our guests to map visits, scheduling at least four appointments ahead to avoid disappointment.


The salon phone number keeps going to answerphone, how can I get in touch?

You can either leave a voice message on the salon number, email the salon at colourmesophieb@gmail.com ,send a private message by clicking the social media icons at the bottom of the page or watts app us on 0121-213-7289  All messages will be answered asap and most definitely the same day!


What is your cancellation policy?

To avoid penalty charges (50% of your scheduled service) we require notice of 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Please be aware that we have guests needing some colour wizardry on our waiting list, therefore giving notice of 48 hours allows us to fill cancellation slots.  We send a reminder text message to guests 48 hours before a scheduled appointment to make things easy peasy for you to confirm or cancel your appointment.  No showing is very naughty and will result in divorce!

You can send a private message or see any available slots on the newsfeed and Instagram Story.  Alternatively, call the salon number and leave a message. we will get in touch asap and most definitely the same day.


I struggle to get to the salon during your opening hours, do you offer an out-of-hours service?

Of course!  We offer appointments outside the salon opening hours.  We charge double time for this service and quote each guest individually.


Which colour lines do you use?

We use a variety of the leading colour brands to create for our guests.  We believe in utilising the very best of each professional portfolio of colour houses to create for our guests.  Using a variety of hair paints and finishes is invaluable in creating bespoke looks.


Which hair care brands do you retail?

Healthy hair is happy hair!  We use and retail “Product Junkie” our very own luxury brand of hair and beauty products.  Product Junkie is an amazing brand!  Created by Sophie B, they are of course cruelty free, vegan and totally colour safe!  Maximo sass loading …


Do you offer student discounts?

We offer in-salon promotions and competitions on social media for all our guests, rather than student discounts.
